Palmetto Golf Club is located in Aiken, around 30 minutes from Augusta.  Opened in 1892, Palmetto is one of the oldest golf clubs in the USA. Palmetto is relatively short by modern standards, but is protected by greens that even the Augusta National would consider difficult.

Alister MacKenzie, Augusta National’s co-designer, substantially reworked the course in 1932. Its cleverly contoured greens, gently tumbling terrain and history-drenched clubhouse (designed by Stanford White of Shinnecock Hills fame) are guaranteed to impress.

Mount Vintage

Mother Nature gave Mount Vintage the perfect setting for a golf course with dramatic topography, beautiful tree cover and sparkling streams. Golf Course Architect Tom Jackson designed the 27 holes to fit perfectly into this diverse topography. The result is a championship layout which is scenic, challenging and fun to play for all levels of golfers.

Each of the three nines -- Chester, Vintage and Independent -- features Champion G12 (Bermuda) greens and Bermuda 419 fairways. The three nines provide a variety of shot values and distinguishing features, yet blend together to leave the golfer with vivid memories of an enjoyable experience.

Sage Valley

Par: 72 | Yardage: 7344  |  Opened: 2001

Legend has it that the owner of Sage Valley was denied membership at the Augusta National and as a result he decided to build his own 'better' club just down the road.  We're not sure that it is actually better than the Augusta National, however it is certainly a very special place.   Sage Valley is an ultra private golf club, however if you know the right people it is possible to experience all that it has to offer during one week of the year, Masters Week.

The course and clubhouse are surrounded by several thousand acres of preserved southern pine forest providing a setting of serenity and tranquilness found in visions of life in the south. Tom Fazio and his team of exceptional course designers and planners guided the design and construction of the course and grounds in 2001.

The Sage Valley Members and their guests have access to a 7344 yard pristinely maintained golf course along with three practice “Dormie” holes, a learning center and practice facilities, a 35,000 square foot clubhouse
